In 2020 Small Small world started as an ongoing project in collaboration with my very tall and talented friend Tabor Idema. A project in which we travel the world together, walk untrodden paths, exploring the unknown territorys of being. (Just 2 friends wanting to get to know each other better basically.)
What better way to do so than hiking? Strolling though valleys, climbing up some physical mountains to ‘metaphorize’ the emotional.
For our first trip 1 year ago, we booked a little hiking vacation to Slovenia. By the guise of 'travel light' we decided only to bring the most essentials. So, for a whole week we only 'dressed up like ourselves'.
This trip resulted in 'Small Small world' an exhibition that shows a video series of living postcards we performed in Slovenia.
Due to the current circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus, unfortunately for this 2nd edition of 'Small Small world' Tabor and I were obliged to stay at home.
Even though we may look like this, fortunately we are not the most grumpy ones. We decided to make the most out of it. The occasion asked for a staycation!

We are never finished walking, we are never finished talking.
(Tabor and i do not have to say much in order to have a good conversation though)
